“Cricket Crumbs" is a boutique bakery specializing in custom, handmade cake creations and desserts, lovingly crafted to fit each client's vision.
Fourteen years ago, with no formal training, Robin Cricket Pflum ("Cricket"), walked away from a successful career in Film and Television to explore her not-so-secret foodie tendencies.
She inherited her culinary obsession from her southern born mother, who could make a grown man cry with one bite of her fresh peach cobbler.
And it was her father's insistence on nightly family dinners, filled with just picked produce from their backyard garden, that has emphasized and inspired the importance of wholesomeness in everything she creates.
However, it was while working as an Assistant Personal Chef that she discovered a natural talent for all things sugary and sweet! (Lucky girl!)
Cricket is dedicated to working one on one with each client to create delicious and eye pleasing desserts, worthy of any celebration or event. She prides herself on using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and her attention to detail and focus on each client's vision assures the complete delight and satisfaction of everyone lucky enough to receive her culinary creations.
"Cricket Crumbs" has had the pleasure of providing custom cakes and desserts for such celebrity clients as Ricki Lake, Jamie Foxx, Dwayne Wade and Gabriel Union, Allison Hannigan, Morris Chestnut, LeToya Jackson, and Frank Ocean. As well as esteemed entertainment and fortune 500 executives.
A firm believer that the world is a better place because of buttercream, dark chocolate, boy bands, and Channel red lipstick, Cricket is also a plus size model, and is proud to say that she worked hard for her curves. Of course, with a little help from yummy "Cricket Crumbs" desserts!!
